Doris Duke Vintage Clothing to Be Auctioned for Charity

Friday, June 10, 2011

Who doesn't want a piece, literally, of the Doris Duke legacy in Newport?

Now's your chance. This weekend, clothing from the personal collection of the late Newport doyenne is being auctioned off to benefit Child and Family Ophelia program for girls and young women.

Friday features a cocktail preview sale & runway show at Ochre Court, where you can indeed preview and purchase designer and vintage women's and men's fashion from Ophelia's Wardrobe and some of New England's premier fashion designers.

Saturday will feature a public sale from 10am-2pm, and all clothing will be sold as is.
