The LOOK: Make Your Curls Work for You
Saturday, October 01, 2011
I learn so much on set when working on actresses' tresses, and working with Jennifer Garner and Odeya Rush in The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and Jennifer Ferrin in Sex and the City Two, has put me in touch with a girl's curl. Here are some tips for how to make those angelic ringlets work for you... and how to get them if you want them!
For curly hair girls: Start with wet hair and as your foundation use any one of the hair products from Deva products. It's amazing for curly hair girls; once you use this miracle product you will be amazed at the curls it turns out, but you must start with curly hair. First coat hair with product, then soak up extra wetness. Let air dry as much as you can then blow dry very carefully without ruffing up the hair. Finally, grab curling iron and wrap one-inch sections around the barrel without opening the iron. Hold on to end so that the end doesn't curl... and voila!
For wavy hair girls: Wash night before your desired style and set in braids. Four big braids will do. Undo the next day and use the iron technique the same as above.
For straight hair girls: Blow dry with setting glaze or styling mouse... I love Rene Furterer Volumea Mouse... the best for straight hair. Then use different types of irons on hair and leave set for 20 minutes. Finally, run fingers through hair to break up the curls for that ethereal curly look.
And that's it! Angel or temptress, you've got your perfect curls. Go get 'em. xx
