Spring is almost here, and the new ombré hair color for your spring look is less dramatic as seasons past — just a kiss of color on the ends is what we are after. See below for tips how to go about achieving the latest ombré look this Spring.
1) Have an open dialogue with your colorist, making sure your idea of ombré is on-point with his or her ideas.
2) Opt for only 1 to 3 levels of "lift" -- your colorist will understand this. In layman terms just a shade lighter than your own natural color.
3) Your ombré should start lower than past seasons, bringing the color farther down to the ends of hair. To add the drama you crave, opt for a great shine treatment over your finished look, which should blend in any stray grays and last until you and your colorist meet again.
From Sex and the City 2 to Rachel Getting Married, from The Sorcerer's Apprentice to Bride Wars, Frank Barbosa has styled some of the biggest celebrities in film, TV, and theater. He's just finished styling on location alongside film stylist Alan D'Angerio on the film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, starring Jennifer Garner. He's been in the industry for 17 years, moving from hip neighborhoods in Chicago, to Boston's Newbury St, to Bellevue Avenue in Newport.
He maintains that his real passion, though, is being behind a salon chair at Frank Antonio Hair and Makeup in Newport.
