Clark University to Host Robert Moses as Part of President’s Lecture Series

Writer and civil rights activist Robert Moses will speak at Clark University on Thursday, October 8 at 4 p.m. in Razzo Hall in the Traina Center for the Arts, located at 92 Downing Street. Moses will speak as part of the President's Lecture Series, "We: The Two-Letter Pronoun that Confounds the Nation."

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Robert Moses

Robert Moses served as the field secretary for the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee of the Civil Rights Movement. In 1961, he initiated SNCC's Mississippi Voter Registration Project and was appointed committee director in 1962.

Moses is the founder and president of Algebra Project, Inc, a national nonprofit organization that uses math as an organizing tool to ensure quality public school education for every child in America.

President's Lecture Series

The President's Lecture Series was established in 2002 and consists of several lectures each year by speakers in sciences, arts, humanities and international relations.

Clark University was established in 1997 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
