Communicators Club to Hold Kick-Off Luncheon on September 13

The Communicators Club will kick off the fall season with a luncheon on September 13 at Sweet on Shrewsbury Street from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Chris Besse, the Public Information and Social Media Coordinator for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency will discuss what MEMA does before, during, and after emergencies and disasters and his role in disseminating public information. He will talk about MEMA’s preparedness campaigns, as well as crisis communications lessons and strategies during disasters such as the record breaking 2015 winter storms and the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

The cost for members and registered guests is $17, non members is $25 and students is $15.
