Cornerstone Bank Donates $40K to Worcester Community Action Council

Cornerstone Bank donated $40K to Worcester Community Action Council

Worcester’s Cornerstone Bank donated $40,000 to the Worcester Community Action Council (WCAC) through its Charitable Donations Committee.

“The Worcester Community Action Council is a vital organization that helps people gain economic self-sufficiency. We are pleased to support such a worthwhile organization and assist our local community where they need it most this time of year,” said Chairman & CEO of Cornerstone Bank K. Michael Robbins.

The donation will go toward assisting local residents with home heating costs this winter.

WCAC is a Worcester-based agency for Central Massachusetts, dedicated to helping people move toward economic self-sufficiency through programs, partnerships, and advocacy.

WCAC is also responsible for helping to fund community initiatives including: Head Start, Early Head Start, Healthy Families of Southern Worcester County, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), and Youth Jobs & Education.
