Thursday, June 05, 2014

The Rhode Island Chapter of the Association of United States Army and Banneker Industries recognized eight soldiers during its annual “Soldiers of Excellence” awards dinner on May 21. The event was held at the Quonset “O” Club.

Award recipients received a free membership to the AUSA and a commemorative pen and pencil set.

“These eight soldiers serve as outstanding examples of the leadership excellence and deserve this recognition,” said LTC(R) Robert Galvanin, chapter president, Rhode Island Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.

Banneker Industries

Banneker Industries is a supply chain management company with a more than 20-year history of providing logistical support to aerospace and defense industry contractors.

Banneker was the event’s primary sponsor. The company is a four-year supporter of the event and a corporate AUSA member since 2009.

“Banneker Industries is a long-time and enthusiastic supporter of the AUSA for all they do to promote and support the mission of the war-fighter,” said Cheryl W. Snead, president and CEO of Banneker Industries. “During our entire history, Banneker has proudly served the aerospace and defense industry not only in the provision of goods and services but also among our ranks.
