Dr. Louis Gritzo of FM Global will deliver the keynote address at today's 5th Annual Flood Mitigation Conference, hosted by the Rhode Island Flood Mitigation Association (RIFMA).

He will be discussing last year’s massive flood damage and why it was predictable, inevitable, and preventable.

He will speak about how companies and homeowners could improve their flood damage preventative measures to an audience of over 100 New England flood plain managers and flood hazard mitigation professionals.

FM Global is one of the biggest commercial property insurers in the world, insuring over a third of all FORTUNE 1000 companies globally. Its corporate headquarters are located in Johnston and its Research Campus is in West Glocester.

The address is taking place at 9 a.m. at the Airport-Radisson Hotel in Warwick, with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse giving opening remarks. The whole conference agenda can be found here.
