Fuel America to Open in Worcester in Fall of 2018
Thursday, December 21, 2017
A long-term, multi-year lease agreement was completed earlier this month between Franklin Realty Advisors and Washington Square Capitol, owners and developers of Mercantile Center, and Fuel America. Construction will begin early next year.
‘We have always envisioned Mercantile Center as a must-visit destination, offering compelling food options for office tenants and area residents, especially for lunch-time and after-hours possibilities. The arrival of Fuel America marks a major step forward in realizing that goal as the first of our restaurants to open its doors. Fuel America is a perfect fit for our Center and the CitySquare neighborhood, bringing long-awaited services and amenities to Mercantile and our community,” said Charles (Chip) Norton, president of Franklin Realty Advisors LLC.
Fuel America at Mercantile Center will occupy 5,264 square feet on street level at the corner of Front and Mechanic Streets.
A full-service coffeehouse-roastery and cafe, the menu will offer custom specialty coffees, espresso drinks, fresh-pressed juices, healthy seltzer drinks, fresh baked goods and handmade breakfast & all-day sandwiches, salads and fruit smoothies.
All creams & milks will be sourced locally. Local micro-brewed beers and wine options will be featured as well.
The space at Mercantile Center will be Fuel America’s 4th location and its first outside Boston.
