NEW: Gas Prices Leap Up Again

AAA’s April 4 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.62 per gallon, up six cents from last week. The current price is four cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $3.66. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $2.80.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 16 cents, from a low of $3.539 to a high of $3.699.
Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows:

$3.629 ($3.539-$3.699) Regular Unleaded $3.609 ($3.599-$3.619)
$3.749 ($3.639-$3.899) Midgrade Unleaded $3.739 ($3.71- $3.749)
$3.869 ($3.739-$3.979) Premium Unleaded $3.839 ($3.819-$3.849)
$4.039 ($3.899-$4.159) Diesel $4.059 ($4.049-$4.069)
