MA’s Employer Advantage Group Puts ‘Thanks’ Back in Thanksgiving

The holiday season is about giving back and Thanksgiving was no exception for one local small business. In an effort to give back to the community that supports them, the business owners at Employer Advantage Group (EAG) in Westborough donated ten turkeys to the food banks at South Worcester Neighborhood Center and Centro Las Americas this Thanksgiving.
While most businesses are currently focused on preparing for the biggest sales day of the year, Lori Gaetani, owner of EAG, has decided to focus on giving back to her community this holiday season.
“As a small business, we have had our fair share of struggles. In our success, we want to be able to give back to the community that has supported us since day one,” said Gaetani.
Ron Charette, Executive Director of South Worcester Neighborhood Center was extremely grateful for Employer Advantage Group’s donation. “The donation was wonderful. It helped out several of our families at a time of the year when the economy is choking them,” said Charette.
The South Worcester Neighborhood Center runs a food pantry, along with a number of different outreach programs for local residents in the area.
Centro Las Americas is a Hispanic Community Service, which also received a donation this Thanksgiving, offers social services to families throughout the city of Worcester. Their food pantry is the second largest in Worcester.

Goodwill Mass accepts donations of men's, women's or children's clothing and other textiles. Some of the clothing donations are provided to our clients who may need an outfit for an interview or a one week supply of clothing for a new job. Most is sold to neighboring Goodwills, or as salvage with all revenues raised going back into programs and services for Rhode islanders.
You may drop off your old clothing at one of the many clothing donation bins throughout the state or at the drop-box located in 25 Park Avenue, Worcester.

Formed in 2002, Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization developed to support military families. On December 14, Operation Homefront will host a “Holiday Toys for Military Kids” event in Wellesly Hills, Taunton, and Springfield from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Toys are limited and are on a first come, first serve registration process.
