NEW: 38 Studios Assets to Be Sold at Two Auctions

The assets of 38 Studios will go to auction on 2 successive Mondays, in Maryland and then in Rhode Island.

Auction time is here. 38 Studios, LLC, f/k/a Big Huge Games, the entertainment and IP development company founded by Curt Schilling and named for his jersey number, will have its assets sold by the Court-appointed Receiver, Richard J. Land, Esq., of Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, at two auctions on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Timonium, MD & on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Providence, RI.  The auctions will be held at the former locations of 38 Studios, 1954 Greenspring Drive, Timonium, MD & One Empire Street, Providence, RI.  Sal Corio of SJ Corio Company in Warwick, RI will begin the live auction each day at 10:30 a.m. EST.

Thousands of items available will be auctioned, including over 500 high-end Dell workstations, over 850 24” & 20” monitors, as well as high-end servers, graphic design, animation & audio recording equipment, like new office workstations, chairs, conference tables and so much more. 

SJ Corio Company has handled auctions, appraisals and liquidations of commercial and industrial equipment in Southeastern New England for over 25 years.  Corio is widely known for his quick and energetic approach to the live auction business.

Registration and inspection will begin at 9:00AM EST each morning of the auctions, with live auction bidding commencing at 10:30AM EST.  Bidders are encouraged to arrive at 9:00AM to allow sufficient time to inspect the assets.  Bidders may also pre-register and view lists of available assets online at www.sjcorio.com.  Online bidding is also available and powered by www.Bidspotter.com

Rhode Island on the hook for $100+million because they lured away from Massachusetts 38 studios and their unbelievable request for so much state funding to do the start up.........Massachusetts rightfully walked away from such a specious venture while Rhode Island jumped at it hook line and sinker............and....well we know the end results now........Governor Patrick/Lt.Gov Murray had it spot on from the start and saved Massachusetts taxppayers $100+ million............let Rhode Island figure out how to clean up the economic mess they were crowing about less than 2 years ago......RI taxpayers must be really pissed off in losing amd having to pay back the $100million...that curt schilling scammed them out of..........
