North Grafton Church Hopes to Raise $150,000 for Repairs

Monday, September 30, 2013

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in North Grafton will host a Ham and Homemade Bean Fundraising Supper at the Grafton Community Barn on October 5. The Church hopes to raise $150,000 for needed repairs.

“Our Church is in need of repairs in order for us to continue to open our doors as a facility the entire community can share,” said Pastor Laura Goodwin. “That has always been an important part of our mission.”

“We have embarked on a goal to raise $150,000 to complete these necessary repairs. This is the first time in the over 120 years St. Andrew’s has been an established member of the Grafton community that we have set such a goal,” she said. “Many have already risen to the request, but we still have a long way to go.”

Fundraiser to Include Silent Auction

The fundraiser will include a silent auction of items like furniture, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and gift certificates to local businesses, including personal trainers. The dinner’s menu will include baked ham, homemade beans, coleslaw, and homemade apple pie. A first and second seating will take place at 5 and 6:30PM respectively. Take out will be available.

Tickets can be purchased at the Suburban Group at 1 Grafton Common, Monday through Friday; or by calling St. Andrew’s Church at 508-839-3453. Adult tickets and take out meals are $10; tickets for children under 12 are $5. All proceeds to benefit the St. Andrew’s Building Fund.
