Rhode Island Graduate Programs Rank High in US News and World Report

The rankings have the five largest professional graduate school disciplines: business, law, education, engineering, and medicine as well as the various specialties associated with those categories. Brown University had the most rankings with 14 categories and RISD was close behind in 13 categories in the top 100, but URI had the most overall with 15 programs scoring in the top 200. Brown had a strong presence across multiple categories. RISD ranked the number one in the country for their Fine Arts Graduate Program, Graphic Design Program and Glass Program.
To arrive at the rankings, a combination of statistical data and expert assessment data are used. The high rankings given to graduate programs in Rhode Island will provide independent assessments of the academic quality of programs in the state.
