RI EDC and Secretary of State Team Up to Promote Small Business

Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) are continuing a year-long partnership to help small businesses succeed by offering six free workshops this month.
The workshops are run through "We Mean Business" -- a joint venture between Mollis's First Stop Business Information Center and the RIEDC that is working to connect business owners with the local, state, federal, and non-profit organizations that impact their companies.
"We are focused on helping you be successful in today’s economic environment. You can take advantage of free advice from experts who normally could command thousands of dollars in consulting fees," said Mollis.
The workshops are as follows:

"Building Social Interactive Websites"
by Juan Gomez and Jeshua Zapata of Xzito Creative Solutions
-Tues., Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
at RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Ste 101, Providence.

"Websites 101"
by Gil Lantini of Focus Business Solutions
-Thurs., Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
-Thurs., Feb. 24, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
both at RIEDC

"IP Protection for Small Business"
by Dan Holmander of Barlow, Josephs & Holmes Ltd.
-Thurs., Feb. 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Centerville Learning Center, 875 Centerville Rd., Building 2, Unit 5, Warwick
-Fri., Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at RIEDC
-Tues., Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the R.I. Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 1 Davol Square, Providence.
