Since two provisions of the ACA affecting applicable large employers – the employer shared responsibility provision and employer information reporting provision for offers of minimum essential coverage – are now in effect, the IRS recently launched a new ACA Information Center for Applicable Large Employers on its website with information and resources to help these affected organizations comply.
An applicable large employer in 2015 – one that averaged at least 50 full-time employees, including full-time equivalents, during 2014 or a company with less than 50 employees if it shares a common ownership with other employers – can visit the IRS web page for:
• assistance for determining applicable large employer status
• required tax forms and their instructions
• trending news topics like transition relief for this year
• resources, such as links to the tax provisions, publications, questions and answers and electronic filing information
• videos, articles, tax tips and other outreach
The web page can be found here.
