Nativity School

Nativity School of Worcester received a donation of $2,500 from Southbridge Savings Bank’s Charitable Donations Committee on December 8 to help the school improve its art and performance program.

The boys’ school utilizes the arts and performance program as an integral part of their mission to develop creative and independent individuals who often come from low-income homes.
The school “is an accredited, independent, Jesuit middle school that provides a quality, all-scholarship education to underserved boys of all faiths.  Drawing upon four pillars - strength, scholarship, character, and service - a Nativity education inspires self-discovery, responsibility, spiritual growth, and a lifelong dedication to learning.”

In this its twelfth year of operation, the middle school has seen 113 boys graduate and could not be more proud.

“This school makes such a difference for so many young boys,” says Ron Cooper, SSB VP - Commercial Lending and Services and Chairman of the Charitable Donations Committee. “We couldn't’t think of a better way for Southbridge Savings Bank to give back than to support our local young people.”
