Friday, January 31, 2014
Tilleman will receive the Leonard S. Gabrilla award, named after the longtime WCU Director who retired in 2011. The title carries with it a $500 monetary reward.
Tilleman is a Worcester resident and Assistant Branch Manager at WCU's main office. She has been with the company since November of 2005, and was recently promoted from her previous position as Financial Services Specialist.
"I have been employed with the credit union for eight years now and started as a teller. I have taken advantage of every opportunity presented to me and it has really paid off," said Tilleman.
Tilleman is known for her willingness to assume a leadership role, train new employees, work overtime and more.
"Deb exemplifies the term ‘Employee of the Year,'" said President and CEO Karen Duffy.
"I am truly honored to have won the 2013 Leonard S. Gabrila Employee of the Award," Tilleman added. "It is so humbling to know that my co-workers all appreciate me…The support I receive on a daily basis from not only management, but also the entire credit union, has enabled me to expand my knowledge…I could not have advanced my career without their support."
