Worcester’s Beechwood Hotel Receives Four-Diamond Award from AAA

Friday, February 01, 2019

The Beechwood Hotel

The Beechwood Hotel in Worcester received a Four-Diamond award from AAA Northeast.

The Beechwood was first honored in 2010 and is the only AAA Four Diamond rated property in Worcester.

The hotel will be honored by AAA this spring at luncheons in Boston and in the Berkshires.

55 MA Hotels Receive Honors

Overall, 55 Massachusetts Hotels were honored with Five and Four Diamond Awards.

“The Five and Four Diamond ratings are impressive accomplishments that recognize the upper echelon of hotels in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast Director of Public and Legislative Affairs.

Three Boston hotels received Five Diamond awards, including Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and The Ritz-Carlton.

Four and Five Diamond Awards

AAA’s experienced and independent inspectors annually visit and approve more than 27,000 hotels across North America. Only 121 hotels, 0.4 percent of the total, receive AAA’s highest rating of Five Diamonds, while just another 1,722 properties, or 6.3 percent, receive the Four Diamond award.
