Mother's Day is coming up on May 12, and you'll want to take Mom to a really fabulous brunch. Here are the best brunches in Central Mass., for Mother's Day or any special Sunday.

Brunch at the Beechwood (Worcester)

The Beechwood Hotel brings world class hospitality to Central Massachusetts. Their award winning Sunday brunch buffet is equally top notch. Begin your breakfast with a Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, Mimosa or glass of Champagne. Then make your way to the omelet and carving stations. Order a freshly made French crepe or waffle, but make sure you leave room for dessert! Try scrumptious tortes, mousses, and mini pastries. If low-fat is your thing, choose some fresh seafood selections like peel and eat shrimp or sliced smoked salmon. There is also a tasty salad station with three chef selected salads which change each Sunday. Brunch on Monther's Day is $41.95 for adults, $16.95 for children 6-12 and children 5 and under free. Ceres Bistro at Beechwood Inn (Worcester)

If you’re looking for the classiness of the Beechwood Hotel but prefer to bypass the carving stations and order straight from the menu, try the Ceres Bistro at the Beechwood. They serve classic dishes like omelets and buttermilk pancakes with delicious Vermont maple syrup. You can also try something different with their “Harlem” dish, which consists of 2 Belgian waffles and a southern fried chicken breast with homefries, or “Eggs Ceres” which features 2 poached eggs, an English muffin, lump crab and creamed spinach. The Salem Cross in is a delicious destination for a Sunday brunch and it’s even more special on Mother’s Day. They are featuring a Mother’s Day menu served from 11am to 4pm. Begin your meal with a Strawberry Mimosa or other choice beverages. Choose from appetizers including homemade crab cakes, and New England clam chowder. Entrees range from fireplace roasted prime rib and traditional oven roasted turkey to a freshly prepared quinoa and jasmine rice cake. There is also a fried chicken finger dinner for children and a child’s portioned version of the traditional turkey dinner. For dessert, indulge in fresh strawberry shortcake with Salem Cross Inn’s famous buttermilk biscuits or coconut cream pie with fresh whipped cream. Mom will surely enjoy this meal, and so will you! Oliver Wight Tavern at Old Sturbridge Village (Sturbridge)

Moms can enjoy free admission to Old Sturbridge Village on Mother’s Day! Old Sturbridge Village is one of the country’s oldest and largest living history museums, depicting early New England life from 1790-1840 with historians in costume, antique buildings, water-powered mills, and a working farm. The rustic backdrop is a perfect setting for a memorable Mother’s Day meal. This year, the Mother’s Day brunch menu will feature some of Oliver Wight Tavern’s most popular dishes including omelets made to order and savory applewood-smoked bacon and sausage. Enjoy spring green salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing and spinach salad with citrus. For the main course try apple cranberry stuffed pork loin, country ham with currant sauce and salmon with apple butter sauce. A perfect end to a perfect meal? Allora (Marlboro)

If Mom enjoys classic Italian, Allora in Marlboro is the place to be on Mother’s Day. Begin your dinner with lobster bisque or a choice salad. Appetizers range from bruschetta and fried calamari to lobster mac and cheese. Then for the entrees. Are you ready? Allora is featuring “Lobster and Ravioli”, chunks of lobster, spinach, and roasted tomatoes simmered in alfredo sauce, and “Fruitti Di Mare”, shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams, mussels and spicy cherry peppers in marinara served over linguini. You can also try pan-seared sea scallops or grilled lamb tips and house-made sausage. Allora is kid-friendly and offers a menu the little ones will love. Among their choices: chicken fingers, super cheesy mac and cheese, and pasta or ravioli. We’re too full to tell you about dessert. You’ll have to check out their menu for more! We hope you bring an appetite to this Mother’s Day Brunch! Start your meal off at the waffle or omelet station. Both feature made to order creations and the freshest ingredients! Breakfast entrees include scrambled eggs, French toast sticks and hash browns among others. The carving station features roast turkey, honey baked ham, and prime rib as well as homemade butter whipped potatoes. But that’s not all! Twigs Café at Tower Hill Botanical Gardens (Westborough)

What better way to enjoy brunch on Mother’s Day than admiring the beautiful Primrose Show at Tower Hill Botanical Gardens! Their food selection includes fruit salad, feta and veggie egg casserole, and sweet potato and fuji apple pancakes. Then choose one or all of the following: garlic and herb prime rib with rosemary au jus, mahi mahi with sweet corn succotash, goat cheese and asparagus stuffed chicken, stuffed zucchini, and cheese ravioli with a tomato basil sauce. The chef will offer a variety of desserts we’re sure you’ll be happy with. Twigs offers two seatings at 11:30am and 1:45pm.
