Mexican Yarn Painting Artist Valadez Coming to Margaritas in Northborough

He will be at Margaritas on Wednesday, November 9 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
During his time there, he will be showing off his craft, and interacting with guests who are looking to learn about yarn painting, Mexican culture and his career.
Cilau Valadez
Valadez is an internationally recognized, fourth generation Huichol yarn painting artist. He represents a new generation of artists who explore and create contemporary themes with indigenous symbols.
He has showed in more than 90 exhibits in North America, over 30 exhibits in Europe, and has been featured at events sponsored by National Geographic.
This will be Valadez's second tour with Margaritas Visiting Artist Program.
Margarita's Visiting Artist Program
Every year Margaritas Mexican Restaurant hosts acclaimed artists from Mexico to tour local schools, museums, and Margaritas locations throughout New England.
The Visiting Artist Program furthers Margaritas mission to bring authentic, educational and entertaining experiences to its guests. Since the program started in 1999, Margaritas has hosted 34 tours featuring Mexican folk artists from Jalisco, Oaxaca, Michoacán, Puebla, Nayarít and Mexico City.
