Sweet Kitchen & Bar to Participate in Better Burger Project
Wednesday, May 27, 2015
Chef Alina Eisenhauer has chosen to make Sweet's feature burger with sustainably raised local beef from Lillac Hedge Farm in Berlin, Crimini and Portobello Mushrooms to help promote a healthier burger. The burger is available right now until July 31, 2015.
Chef Eisenhauer's burger will also feature cheese from Boggy Meadow Farm in Walpole, New Hampshire, as well as housemade pickled sweet onions, Sweet's Housemade Steak Sauce. The bun is made using spent grain from Sweet's neighbor, Wormtown Brewery.
- Voting will take place through an Instagram-based social media challenge. Fans of Sweet can vote and support the Better Burger Project™ by:
- Visiting participating restaurants between May 25 and July 31 and ordering the “better burger” (see participating restaurants at betterburgerproject.org)
- Posting a photo of the burger on Instagram.
- Using the hashtag #betterburgerproject and the handle of the restaurant and/or the chef who created the burger
- Sharing what’s better about the burger in the caption (example:“Just ate this amazing burger blended with mushrooms in support of #betterburgerproject from @jehangir_mehta at Graffiti”)
- Dining often and helping your favorite chef win the prize
When the promotion concludes at 11:59pm EST on July 31, 2015, the five (5) chefs with the most photo uploads on Instagram by consumers will win a trip to NYC in October 2015 to cook their "better burger" dish at the James Beard House.
Visit betterburgerproject.org for a list of participating restaurants and follow #betterburgerproject on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Sweet Kitchen & Bar is located at 72 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, MA.
