Viva Bene- 144 Commercial Street in Worcester
CORRECTION: Viva Bene's Event will be held Monday, December 8. Not December 10, as previously reported.
On December 8, Viva Bene Restaurant will host an Annual Fundraiser to benefit Worcester's Children. Proceeds from the Fundraiser will be distributed to Friendly House, Guild of St. Agnes, The Boys and Girls Club of Worcester, and Chandler Elementary Community School.
"This year is the 11th Annual Fundraiser. Usually we receive 400 to 500 toys and there's usually 350 to 400 people in attendance. Every year it's growing," said Keivan Mizrahi, manager of Viva Bene.
A Party That Rocks
The Holiday Rock party is sponsored by WXLO and 100FM the Pike, and will feature live music from rock and blues artist Parker Wheeler with the Willie J Laws Band, and special guests Cliff Goodwin (former Joe Cocker Band Musical Director), Amadee Castenell (NYNO recording artist), and Bruce Mattson (Greg Allman Band).
"There will be a lot of great entertainment participating at this event," said Mizrahi.
Sponsors and Donations
"A lot of people work hard at this to make it happen. District Attorney Joe Early has been supportive since day one, and and so has former Sheriff (Guy) Glodis, Sheriff (Lew) Evangelidis, and City Councilor Moe Bergman," said Mizrahi.
Other sponsors include Conte Insurance, Pleasant Pawn Brokers, Simplyfargone Production, Worcester County Memorial Park, OMark Consultants, Leominster Credit Union, Private Wealth Management Group, and Joseph's Lock and Safe.
Admission to the fundraiser is $10 and it includes a complimentary Italian buffet.
"All the money goes towards getting more toys for the kids," said Mizrahi. For more information, please call Viva Bene at 508-799-9999.
