Move over, ice cream. Frozen yogurt is quickly becoming the best summer time treat. Healthier and lower in calories, froyo is taking America by storm. Here are some of the best places in Central Mass to get a taste of this sweet snack.

Yoway

Apple pie, peppermint, strawberry banana, and cookies & cream are just a few of the 45 flavors of frozen yogurt that Yoway offers. Flavors are rotated daily, weekly, and seasonally so check online to see what’s available. But even if your favorite isn’t on the menu there are over 60 toppings to choose from including fresh fruit, nuts, and candy.

Yoway is open Sunday-Thursday from 12 PM – 10 PM, and until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday.

WooBerry

Not only is WooBerry locally owned and operated, it also offers all-natural, kosher, gluten-free yogurt. WooBerry features new flavors each day but original, chocolate, and peanut butter are always available. With over 35 toppings available, WooBerry can satisfy any frozen yogurt craving.

WooBerry is open Monday-Friday 11 AM – 10 PM, Friday – Saturday 11 AM – 11 PM, and Sunday 12 – 9.

Blush Yogurt Café

Located right across from Mechanics Hall, Blush Yogurt Café is the newest addition to Worcester’s frozen yogurt line up. Blush has over 30 flavors, which are rotated on a weekly basis, to choose from. Vanilla and chocolate are always available, as are an assortment of toppings. Sample from the café menu and do some people watching from Blush’s comfy chairs or outdoor tables.

Blush is open daily. Monday – Friday, it’s open 7 AM – 9 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 12 – 9.

Berry Fusion Frozen Yogurt

Serving up hand mixed frozen yogurt, Berry Fusion is not to be missed. Six staple flavors like original tart, chocolate and vanilla are always available with two others rotating, offering up a selection of non-fat and low-fat options. With over 50 toppings to choose from there is something for every yogurt lover.

Berry Fusion is open Monday – Wednesday 11 AM – 10 PM, Thursday – Saturday 11 AM – 10:30 PM, Sunday 11 AM – 9:30 PM.

Carol’s Dairy Bar

Make Carol’s Dairy Bar your one stop shop for frozen yogurt and dinner. Called a “staple of Fitchburg,” Carol’s Dairy Bar offers fried seafood and a lobster roll, among other things. With flavors like chocolate almond, mint patty, purple cow, and coffee heath on the menu, frozen yogurt makes the perfect dessert.

The Dairy Bar is open everyday from 11 AM – 9 PM.

Cherry Hill Ice Cream

As the name indicates, Cherry Hill Ice Cream primarily serves frozen yogurt’s fattening cousin, but froyo is on the menu too. Chocolate lovers are in luck with black raspberry chip, coffee heath, pistachio, and Kahlua crunch as just a few of the many flavors available.

Cherry Hill Ice Cream is open every day from 12-9.
