Worcester’s Most Romantic Italian Restaurants

Legendary for its lush lands and passionate people with a zest for life and food, Italy has inspired numerous love affairs throughout the years. The very thought of Italy can reawaken passion and romance in even the most jaded. As the warm weather sets in and the days lengthen, a summer evening becomes the perfect time to take a break from routine and enjoy romance in true Italian style.

Worcester’s many Italian restaurants ensure that the essence of the romance that runs through Italy’s veins and the food that fuels it can be found close to home. Here is a list of my favorites that will help even the most harried couple remember the value of sharing a special meal, a special look and the romance of holding hands across the table.

Shrewsbury Street is the home of several of Worcester’s most romantic Italian restaurants guaranteed to set the stage for a special night of amore. The perfect place to enjoy the elaborate dance of romance with that special someone.

Piccolo’s Italian Restaurant is a genuine touch of Little Italy and all of the romance that it offers. Enjoy exceptional Italian food and the music of Ol’ Blue Eyes. A seat at the small bar of this quaint restaurant or the front tables in the windows offers extra atmosphere.

Via Italian Table was the winner of Worcester Living’s 2011 Most Romantic Restaurant award. This rustic yet sophisticated dining experience offers some of the best outdoor seating in Worcester and a contemporary indoor look with comfortable seating nooks and a large bar. Enjoy “Italian comfort food in a festive atmosphere” with authentic Italian ingredients and recipes. Their casually elegant atmosphere is pure romance.

Porto Bello brings warm Italian hospitality to Worcester’s own Federal Hill. The great ambience and excellent homemade Italian food set the stage for a quiet romantic dinner followed by a movie. The perfect mid week date night.

Sample a slice of La Dolce Vita and rekindle the romance in your relationship.
