Reliant Medical Group Distributes $50,000 Across 18 Organizations

Girls Inc. is one of 18 organizations receiving a grant from Reliant Medical Group
“The Foundation continues to see incredible support from our donors, which allows us to maintain the ability to grant at really strong levels. Our recipients in this round feature a nice mix of programs, all of which share the common denominator of providing access to critical nutrition and wellness programs that many Central Massachusetts families so desperately need," said Kelsa Zereski, director of philanthropy at Reliant Medical Group.
The grants will allow the Foundation to connect the generosity of its community to sustainable organizations within Reliant Medical Group's service area to help improve the health and well-being of individuals of all ages in the Metro West and Central regions of Massachusetts.
Since the grant making program refocuses in 2008, the Reliant Foundation has funded 55 local charities, impacting over 100,000 individual lives annually.
The Organizations that received funding are as follows:
- Bancroft School/Worcester Partnership
- Boys & Girls Club of Lunenberg
- Boys & Girls Club of Worcester
- Children's Haven
- Community Harvest Project
- Family Health Center of Worcester
- Friendly House
- Girls, Inc.
- Jeremiah's Inn
- Nativity School of Worcester
- Our Father's House
- Rachel's Table
- Rainbow Child Development Center
- Reliant Medical Group Pediatrics Department
- Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services
- United Neighbors of Fitchburgh/cleghorn Neighborhood Center
- Worcester Youth Center
Changes Coming in 2016
The Reliant Foundations will be moving to a single grant cycle to be held in the fall in 2016. The next deadline to apply for community grants will be Wednesday, October 5.
