Rhode Island Hospital Launches Stroke Support Group

What to Expect
Each session will include an educational presentation followed by group discussion. The inaugural session will include an introduction to the support group by Jo-Ann Sarafin, MS, RNP, clinical manager of the Stroke Center, who will present “Be Stroke Smart.” Julie Herzlinger, MSW, LCSW, will lead the discussion to follow. Marianne Stepanian, RN, of Lifespan Community Health will be available to offer suggestions for obtaining services in the community. Light refreshments will be served.

The stoke support group will meet Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 6–7:30pm and will continue to be held the second Wednesday of each month. The group will meet at Rhode Island Hospital’s Leone Conference Room in the Comprehensive Cancer Center located at the end of the ramp inside the doors to the Ambulatory Patient Center (APC Building) next to the Comprehensive Cancer Center. Free parking is available in the APC parking lot off of Plain Street with direct access to the conference room.
