Tech Advances Distinguish W&I
Constance Howes, the hospital’s president and CEO, expressed gratitude to those who continue to care for women and babies with challenging medical conditions at Women & Infants. She cited recent advances in technology; specifically the adoption of the Program in Women’s Robotic Surgery. “We have raised the standard in our relentless push to ensure patient safety and quality towards making Women & Infants the safest place for women and newborns,” she said. “We have established the goal of eliminating preventable harm.” Financially, Women & Infants finished fiscal 2010 with a $13.6-million gain from hospital operations.
Recognition for Exceptional Work
New Leadership Named
William F. Hatfield, chair of the hospital’s Governance and Nominating Committee, announced the election of Margaret D. Farrell of Barrington, and the re-election of Roger Begin of Woonsocket as a trustee of the hospital. Robert Berry, MD and Diane Hovenesian of Medfield, MA; Keith and Karyn Bilezerian of Mansfield, MA; Lisa Bisaccia and Robert Naparstek of Canton, MA; Peter and Janine Lee of Providence; Susan and Paul Mouradian of Franklin, MA; Robin and Christopher Neale of Warwick; Kathleen and Roderick Ryan of Cumberland; and Tracey and Mark Savage of West Greenwich were elected as new corporators of the hospital.
