Worcester Rotary Club to Hold “Celebrate Community Gala” on June 4

The Rotary Club of worcester has announced that it will hold its 3rd annual "Celebrate Community Gala" on Saturday, June 4 at the DCU Center from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event will feature dinner, a cash bar, silent and live auctions, live music and dancing, and the club's annual Service Above Self Community Service awards.

This year, the Rotary Club is teaming with the City of Worcester  among other groups to raise funs to support education and prevention efforts in fighting the opioid epidemic in the community. 

In addition funds raised also support a variety of education, hunger, health, community service projects, civic engagement and beautification projects. 

Proceeds from the gala will also support on going projects including feeding hungry children at the Kids Cafe at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, providing winter coats for disadvantaged children, offering scholarships to students at three Worcester colleges, the African Community Education's food program, and Red Cross disaster relief.
