Class of 2016

The top rated local talent in the class of 2016 is Vermont Academy's Bruce Brown, a native of Wakefield. The 6'3" guard is an impressive athlete and a capable defender, and coaches in the are think he has pro potential down the line.  With offers from Providence College, Boston College, UMass, URI, and a host of national schools, Brown has no shortage of options at the next level. He's a 4-star prospect and a Top-53 player on Rivals, ESPN, and Future150.

Terrell Brown of St. Andrew's is another player with a bevy of local and national offers to choose from. The 6'8" small forward can score from anywhere and has an advanced skill set on the offensive end. He's a Team USA Under 17 member and has offers from PC, URI, Bryant, BC, UConn, UMass, and national programs like Florida and Ohio State. He's a 3-star prospect on Rivals and a 4-star player (ranked 66th in the nation) on Future150.

A native of Turkey, Baris Ulker plays prep school ball at the Winchendon School and might wind up playing in the Ivy League in the near future.  He had offers from Harvard and Princeton and has the academics to qualify for the Ivies.  The 6'7" forward is a strong rebounder and has "point forward" skills to boot.  Ulker ranks 140th nationally and is a 3-star prospect in Future150's rankings.

Haverhill native Saul Phiri has interest from URI, Fairfield, and some mid-major schools. The Worcester Academy product is a high motor player with good athleticism and physicality in his game. He's a 3-star product on Scout.com.

Brooks School point guard Ikenna Ndugba is a great athlete and can make plays for himself and others on the offensive end.  Ndugba is a 4-star player on Future150 and a 3-star player on Scout.com. He has offers from BC, UMass, and Boston University.

Others to Watch

A pair of players also from New England to keep an ear to the ground on are Donovan Love and Tyrique Jones. Love has offers from PC, BC, and URI and is a blur of a point guard running the fast break.  Jones is a 6'7" forward and a super athlete. He's a top priority recruit for URI and also has interest nationally from programs like Kansas State and Texas Tech.
