Jewel
Jewell is extremely sweet, although she is a timid pup. She warms up fast to people and loves to be near her foster mom even after only a few hours. A shelter environment was not the right place for this fearful girl. Jewell is nervous around the resident dog at her foster home, so we think she would be happiest either as an only dog or with a very calm well adjusted canine companion of similar size. She is very soft and when given the opportunity we think she will make a lovely lap dog and companion for the right person. Whoever brings home this little girl will be showered with love, we are sure of it.

Magnus
Meet Magnus! Magnus is a 1 year old, ~60 pound pit bull mix who is sweet, friendly, and active!
Magnus plays nicely with other playful dogs and even shares his toys. He would be great in a home with older children, but might still be too young and enthusiastic for toddlers.

Jackson
Jackson is a 12 year old toy poodle who weighs 12 pounds. He came to Brokentail Rescue extremely matted and neglected. He immediately got a hair cut and a nail trim, but his hair will need to be leveled out once it grows in a bit. He mostly sleeps and wants a lap to lounge in. He's a great companion and really loves his people.

Rufus
Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.
At just 3 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be.

Mini Winnie
Mini Winnie is a tiny little bundle of personality. She takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she melts into a puddle of gooey affection. She loves being around her human and follows me from room to room. Once I sit down, she is immediately in my lap, kneading, purring and suckling on my clothes. She doesn't get along with my resident cat, but did get along with a cat at a previous foster home. She is a good eater, but isn't very food motivated. She does have gorgeous, long, and incredibly soft fur. We've given her a lion cut for the summer, and she will probably require regular grooming to keep her coat clean and downy-soft.

Cindy
Cindy is a young adult cat who was is being fostered in Cambridge, MA. While she is initially shy of new people, once she warms up and trusts her people, she is a total love.
Cindy also loves attention, treats, and other cats; her foster brother has really helped her to come out of her shell even more, and we believe she would do best in a home with a friendly resident cat who can show her the ropes. Cindy is very playful and once she is comfortable, she wants nothing more than to run around and play with a cat friend.

Mrs. Maisel
Mrs. Maisel is a darling, affectionate 14 year old with plushy all-black fur and big bright eyes. Her favorite things are love, love, more love, and cheese. She purrs and kneads her round little paws and bonks you with her little round head and wants all the pats. She responds to attention lovingly but with the occasional light love-nip, so she's looking for an adult-only home with people who are used to cat body-language. She enjoys having her silky-soft fur brushed and will make a fabulous companion. She is living in a foster home with several other kitties and a cat-friendly dog.

JoJo
Do you (mistakenly) think that all cats are aloof creatures who play hard to get? Not JoJo! This friendly, affectionate, Tuxedo (black-and-white) girl would just as soon climb onto your lap and gently butt your hand until you give her the pets and lovins that she's dreaming of. JoJo is about 7 years old and sadly, lost her home (where she lived with another cat) as the result of divorce.
