Summer

My name is Summer, and I'm an energetic one year old mixed breed (pittie? lab? kelpie? it's a mystery!) who loves people. I weigh in at a handy 35 lbs. You may have noticed my magnificent ears! They're very beautiful, aren't they?

Here's the deal. I am fit and energetic and VERY athletic. I love to run and I will chase balls forever and I can jump over 5' straight up in the air! I am also very, very smart and curious. I am definitely not the right dog for everyone! My dream is an experienced owner who can provide the time, predictability, and structure that I thrive with. I need a backyard with a physical fence (not an invisible fence)-- I'll happily go running with you, but I need to get the zoomies out in an open space as well. I am very food motivated, and I will learn what you want very quickly! But I am never going to turn into a couch potato type dog, so I need you to love me for who I am.

Simba

My name is Simba, and I’m a senior gentleman looking for a quiet place to call home! I lived with the same nice man my entire life, but when he became hospitalized for a long-term illness, he sadly had to ask Broken Tail Rescue to find me a new family.

I am 13 years old and I weigh about 15 pounds. Though I am getting up there in age, I still have a lot of pep in my step and I am excited to be alive. If you see me you'll think, "wow, that is a happy dog!" I am completely housebroken and am an easy dog to have around the house. I love to chill in my bed or at my foster parents feet, and I am not barky, except when I'm crated and I need to go potty. I also enjoy snuggling with my owners either on the couch or on the floor. I LOVE to sleep in bed with my people but please don't roll over or kick me or I might just have to bite you, sorry not sorry. I will forgive you though if you can forgive me.

Darby

Darby is a handsome, super sweet mixed breed with a great personality. He is 5 years old but you would never know as he doesn’t look a day over 3…at least that’s what he will tell you! Darby is a perfect size weighing in at around 40 pounds, ideal for sharing forts in the backyard for scheming summer shenanigans.

Slinky

I'm Slinky! I am a handsome, 7 year young dachshund who weighs in at a whopping 30 lbs. I am as friendly as they come, and house trained too! I promise to keep your lap warm, or your feet - whatever you prefer! If you have a comfortable chair, I'll even keep it warm for you. I love being pet and taking car rides the most! Like a typical dachshund I like to burrow, and I can sometimes be found hidden in my foster mom's bed.

Luna

Luna is a gentle giant. She is an 8 year old Shepard Malamute mix and weighs 85lbs!

Luna is a simple girl that loves her tennis ball, walks, and company. She has lived with children, cats and dogs in the past. She craves human attention and will stay close by at all times. Luna does not use a crate and prefers to have full access to her home. She is very well behaved so it is safe to let her roam when no one is home.

Alliby (AKA Allie) is a wonderful little kitty. She is very curious and she loves to follow you around the house. She loves affection and is very friendly.

She is on the smaller side with a beautiful, soft calico coat that barely sheds.

Pumpkin a sweet, laid back girl who enjoys chin scritches and likes to show off her first class biscuit making skills. She will make a great companion cat. She needs to be an only kitty! She wants all the attention.

Maggie

Maggie is a gorgeous 4 month old gray and white shy kitten. Her brother, Steve, is getting adopted into a home with another kitty, and it's her turn to find her forever home. She has to be adopted into a home with another kitty or two for companionship.

Maggie is shy and needs someone who is willing to spend some extra time with her socializing her to be a snuggly kitty. Maggie just needs a little extra loving to be a super loving kitty. She and her brother were born to a feral mom and spent their first weeks outside and now are warm and safe inside, but need that extra love to show them how great we are and how much we love them. They love other cats and need that companionship!

Dooley is a beautiful 9 year old ragdoll with soft, soft fur who is a little moody while she adjusts to her new quarters in the Adopter Center. She may hiss or hide, but never bites or scratches and will do best in a quiet home with a kind, patient adopter who will help her get comfortable in a new loving home. Dooley does not get along with other cats and needs a home as the only kitty.
