Callie
Age: Adult
Breed(s): Labrador Retriever Mix
Callie is a 50 lb. black lab mix that is between 8 and 10 years old. Although this sweet girl is looking for her retirement home, she still has plenty of pep in her step. She is very motivated to please and works hard on her training. She has learned "sit", "stay", how to walk nicely on a leash, and has even learned to ring a bell to let you know when she has to go outside.
She would do best as the only dog in the house and needs a family that will continue to work on her training. With a little patience and a lot of love, Callie will easily overcome her tough past and become the perfect dog for one very lucky family.

Honey
Age: Young
Breed(s): Labrador Retriever Mix
Hello! My name is Honey and I sure am sweet! As you can see, I love to smile and make goofy faces. I am quiet and well behaved in the house. I get along with all people and animals I have met so far. I can be a little timid so older or knowledgeable kids would be best. I am a good sized 58 lbs—not too big and not too small, and I am about 2 and a half years old...beyond all that puppy silliness!
I would love a new family that can give me regular exercise as I do have some energy to burn. I also need someone with patience and understanding that I have been through a lot of changes and need time to adjust. I think you will find that I will be worth a little extra effort! Obedience classes would be a great way for us to bond and for me to burn some energy!

Clause
Age: Adult
Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair
Clause is a sweet boy that came off the street. He's turned into a regular lap cat and will jump up on your lap as soon as you sit down. He loves chasing anything that moves (including the laser light) and will happily chase a toy mouse, a piece of string, or his stuffed teddy bear.
He still can get somewhat aggressive if he is over stimulated, but even this is getting better. However, it is recommended that he goes to a home that does not have small children.

Mika
Age: Adult
Breed(s): American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound Mix
Hi! My name is Mika and I am around 5 years old. I'm smaller than I look in pictures—only about 40 pounds, and I'm full grown! I have been waiting a LONG time for a forever home...I spent about 3 years in a shelter and the last six months in foster homes, but I want to meet the family that will keep me forever. I love people, and am really wonderful with kids! I don't really love other animals though, so I'm looking to be an only pet. I am fully housebroken, very polite, and great in my crate.
I am hoping you are someone who enjoys going for casual walks, car rides, and hanging out on the couch with your special dog friend. I love to roll in the grass and soak up the sun. And nothing is better than having my belly rubbed! I am looking for someone that enjoys what I do and will love me as much as I will love them. By the way, I am spayed, vet checked, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea treated, tested for heartworm disease and microchipped.

Fella
Age: Adult
Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair
Fella is an adult tabby boy who needs a lot of love and attention. He has only recently come to Broken Tail and is pretty nervous and scared of people. He takes a while to warm up, but once he gets to know you, he loves to be petted. Fella's new family will need to be patient and wait for him to warm up, but they're sure to be rewarded with lots of purring.
Fella's right eye and nose were scratched before he came to Broken Tail and they're starting to heal up. The vet says it's not infected, so it just needs a little time and he should be good as new!

Abbey
Age: Adult
Breed(s): American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Abbey is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! She is a low-energy, beautiful pit bull mix who longs to be the perfect addition to a loving family. This mellow, 55 pound bundle of warmth is a great bedside companion. One of her favorite activities is lounging on the couch with her family. Very calm when she gets to know you, she just loves to be around people of all ages.
This 6-year-old dog is highly food and word motivated. She's obedient, friendly, and highly in-tune with emotions, so she loves to be happy when you are happy. She has mastered "sit", "down", "wait", and "give". She is house and crate trained and good on a leash. Her eagerness to please people allows her to be trainable as she will require continued training.

Frannie
Age: Baby
Breed(s): Calico & Domestic Short Hair mix
Frannie is a four month old Calico kitten who came to Broken Tail with her mother when they were left behind in an apartment in Worcester after their family moved out. Unfortunately, the previous owners let the mother cat go outside, and she came into contact with Feline Leukemia. Frannie has tested negative for it but since she lived with her mother, there is a chance that in the next six months she could test positive for it as well. Broken Tail is looking for a home for Frannie where she will be the only cat and where she will be loved and cherished no matter what her health status is.
