Hermie

Age: Adult

Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair

Hermie is a gentle giant with a wonderful temperament and a hunger for attention that will steal your heart! He was recently returned to us after being adopted late last year. The adopter's older cat couldn't handle Hermie's size and energy, so she's brought him back to let him find his perfect forever home.

Hermie is a bit confused at his current situation but he's still the lovebug we remember him being. Come meet him at our adoption center at the Petsmart in Cambridge!

Abbey

Age: Adult

Breed(s): American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Abbey is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! She is a low-energy, beautiful pit bull mix who longs to be the perfect addition to a loving family. This mellow, 55 pound bundle of warmth is a great bedside companion. One of her favorite activities is lounging on the couch with her family. Very calm when she gets to know you, she just loves to be around people of all ages.

This 6-year-old dog is highly food and word motivated. She's obedient, friendly, and highly in-tune with emotions, so she loves to be happy when you are happy. She has mastered "sit", "down", "wait", and "give". She is house and crate trained and good on a leash. Her eagerness to please people allows her to be trainable as she will require continued training.

Tookee

Age: Young

Breed(s): Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher Mix

Hi, my name is Tookee! I'm approximately a year old and I was surrendered by my family due to landlord restrictions. I came from a home with kids and they recommended that I get adopted into a home with kids because I'm so friendly and playful.

I love other dogs, and I'm also good around cats too. I'm great in a crate—I run in for treats and I'll settle in just fine if you need to leave for a little while. And when you come home, I'll run right outside and do my business.

I was born with three legs and my left paw is deformed, but that makes me all the more unique. I walk just fine on my three legs and I prance around on my back two all the time when I want attention. I enjoy walks and walk well on a leash, but I get tired after a little while, so having a yard would be fantastic.

Mr. Clean

Age: Adult

Breed(s): American Short Hair

Meet Mr. Clean! He had a really bad week. Trying to find shelter from the recent storms, he clambered into the ceiling of a launderette and fell through (hence the name). He was taken in by Broken Tail Rescue and had an infected eye removed. Despite all this trauma, he's very sweet and affectionate.

Mr. Clean is a small cat with a lot of personality! He's a vocal little guy who loves ear scratches. He'll jump up to get attention from his foster family and guide your hand to his ears. Double-paws add to his considerable charm. If you want a one-eyed cat wearing boxing gloves, look no further. If you just want a fabulous, affectionate cat, look no further.

Casey

Age: Young

Breed(s): Pointer Mix

Hi I'm Casey! I am a 3-year-old Pointer mix and I weigh about 45 pounds, although I have some weight to gain and should be about 50-55 pounds. I am super sweet and enjoy the company of other dogs and children, but I'm not too sure about cats yet! I love to play and go for walks. I'm working on my basic commands, but I got the hang of "sit" quickly so I know I'm going to be a fast learner for the rest. Best of all, I am 100% housebroken!

Ace

Age: Adult

Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair & Tabby

Ace is a big lazy boy who loves his people. He is very laid back and will make a great companion for just about anyone. He does great with other cats and would do fine with a respectful dog. He is just a sweet loving guy.

Ace has FIV, but can expect to live a fine life indoors and can have a normal life expectency. If he were to catch a cold, it might take him a little longer to recover, but other than that, he is a normal kitty. FIV is not easily transferable to other cats; it would take something like a deep bite wound so as long as the cat residents get along it's not a concern. It's also important to note, that FIV is not transferable to humans! Ace would be happy for the chance to love a family and to live a comfortable life. Will you take him home and give this guy the attention and affection that he desires and deserves?

Evie

Age: Adult

Breed(s): Boxer

Meet Evie! Evie is a very sweet Boxer who was found as a stray. She obviously had a home at some point—she is house trained and knows to "sit" and "lay down" on command. Her face is very gray, and a vet estimated her to be around 10 years old, but she acts like a much younger dog! She came to the rescue as a little peanut of a boxer, but she has gained nearly 8 pounds over the past month in her foster home and has filled out nicely.

Evie is great with people. She loves hanging out with children and adults! She enjoys car rides and absolutely loves going for walks. She will be a great dog for a family or for single person. She appears to be picky in choosing her dog friends, but she does seem to get along best with more submissive pups. She is great with cats and will leave them alone for the most part. On occasion, she can't resist the urge to chase one of her kitty foster siblings, but it is all done in play.

Cooper

Age: Adult

Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair

Cooper is a big guy with lots of love to give. He was a stray, who was more than likely left behind when the owners moved away.

Cooper is a sweetheart, all he needs is someone to give him a home and love him for life and maybe play with a laser pointer with him! He'll show his gratitude with tons of headbutts.
