Monty
Monty is a three-year-old, black, long-haired fellow. He was found as a stray with a wound and has spent the last few months recovering - and now he's ready for a home.
He's a sweet boy who just purrs and purrs and is happy to sit in your lap while you brush him.
Monty has recently had a bath and gotten brushed and he's looking much better! Even in his slightly disheveled state one of our volunteers described him as looking like the world's cutest little stuffed toy!
Morrigan
Morrigan is an adult dilute tortie. She came to us as a rescue from Animal Control, she was left in a carrier behind a dumpster. She must have been dumped because she is kinda fiesty. She was extremely traumatized from all of this. With time and patience, she has settled into her foster home nicely. We think that she would be best as an only cat and needs an experienced cat whisperer.
Lola
Lola is approximately 2 years old and about 55lbs. She was rescued from a neglect situation by Animal Control, along with her five puppies and other dogs. Lola was found abandoned in a home and because of that came to us lacking some of the basic manners you'd expect a dog to have, but she has come a long way in a short time.
Lola is now house and crate trained, she sits on command, and is taking well to our use of the NILIF (Nothing In Life Is Free) training philosophy. She can be quite strong on a leash and needs to learn more basic manners, but is making strides everyday. She is very sweet and enjoys being near and touching her person.
Ares
He may share his name with the Greek God of War, but Ares is a lover, not a fighter! Ares is a sweet and playful little guy who whole heartedly LOVES hie people. He estimated to be 4 years old, weighing just 6 lbs. Ares has adorable features that you won't fully see in pictures, such as beautiful hazel eyes, little white patches on his chest and paws, and a curly tail (that is always wagging!) At the park, he oftentimes just sits and gazes at his foster Mom lovingly, then runs over to give kisses when she calls him over.
Henry
Meet Henry! Henry is a Chihuahua weighing in at 10lbs, who is 10 years young. In the short time that Henry has been with Broken Tail Rescue, he has won the hearts of many volunteers, with his sweet and gentle demeanor. All that Henry really wants are people to call his own and a warm bed or lap to snuggle on. He is a calm, friendly guy who bonds quickly, and whole heartedly loves anyone who gives him some attention. Don't let his age fool you though, Henry is full of life! He can keep up on long walks, trips to the park, and other activities that younger dogs enjoy. Henry is also fully vaccinated, neutered, and in great health.
Callie
Callie is a 50lb black lab mix that is between 8 and 10. Although this sweet girl is looking for her retirement home, she still has plenty of pep in her step. She is very motivated to please her people and works hard on her training. Since coming to stay with me she has learned "sit", "stay", how to walk nicely on a leash and has even learned to ring a bell to let you know when she has to go outside. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? She is a perfect passenger in a car and she loves to go for long walks or hikes She also enjoys playing with her toys, cuddling with her people and just relaxing in her bed. She would do best as an "only" and needs a family that will continue to work on her training. With a little patience and a lot of love Callie will easily overcome her tough past and become the perfect dog for one very lucky family.
