Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra at Mechanics Hall

Direct from China, the Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra is Music Worcester's first symphonic presentation of the season. The star-studded program will feature Rossini's Barber of Seville Overture, Sibelius' Violin Concerto, and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 "New World."

Artwork and EgoesThe Salisbury Portraits and their Creators at Worcester Historical Museum

Using a PowerPoint presentation at WHM, Salisbury Mansion docent JoAnn Mills and site manager Robert Stacy will discuss the personal and professional histories of the artists who painted portraits of Salisbury family members over the decades and place the Salisbury portraits in the context of the artists’ other work. 

Attendees will be invited to visit Salisbury Mansion afterward to see the family portraits in their house.

Live Animal Show: The Nature of My Backyard at Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center & Wildlife Sanctuary

Are you ready to meet some of the wild creatures living right in our own backyards? Creature Teachers will introduce you to some common animals we share space with. You might meet a fisher, skunk, turtle, fox, or even a flying squirrel.
