The Worcester Shakespeare Festival returns to Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. & Whitin Mill Complex for its 11th season. 

This season they present the play "Anthony & Cleopatra."

The 5th Annual "One" Members' Exhibition at ArtsWorcester

ArtsWorcester asked their artists to bring us the single work they want most to exhibit, regardless of medium or theme, and we give you an extraordinary exhibit in return. 

Free parking in the two paved lots belonging to the Freemasons, at 1 Ionic Avenue. "The Fifth Annual ONE" will be on view through July 15, with gallery hours Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 12:00 to 4:00 PM, and by appointment.

The exhibition will be on display from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Glassblowing Colorful Cups at New Street Glass Studio 

After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own cup from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace.

Students will choose their own colors and instructors will guide the class through the steps from gathering to blowing up the bubble and shaping a cylinder to create each unique and colorful cup.

Sessions start at 6:30 p.m. and runs till 9:30 p.m.

Daylily Show at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

The New England Daylily Society is bringing daylily experts from all over New England to show off their best grown and groomed daylily flowers.

Petty Larceny at Frank's 

The well-known Tom Petty Tribute Band, Petty Larceny, will rock out at Frank's on Saturday night. 

The group will play all of Tom Petty's greatest hits and much more.

Saturday Movie Matinees at Worcester Public Library

Saturday matinees of the following movies will be shown in this order: Tinkerbell, Disney's Classic Three Little Pigs, Hugo, James and the Giant Peach, the LEGO Batman Movie, Antz, and The Prince of Egypt.

The movies run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. for children ages 12 and under.

Worcester Bravehearts vs Seacoast Mavericks at Fitton Field

The Worcester Bravehearts are back home to host the Seacoast Mavericks at Fitton Field with first pitch set for 7 p.m. 

The Bravehearts are currently 15-18 on the season while Seacoast is 14-18.

Regatta Point Community Sailing is offering kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding classes to all.

Cabinet Making in Early 19th Century New England at Old Sturbridge Village

The exhibition examines the tools, products, and livelihoods of rural cabinetmakers in the early 19th century. Visitors will gain a deeper insight into how these objects were designed, fashioned, and used in the period, and how they inform our understanding of modern-day craftsmanship. 

The exhibition illustrates the wide range of objects shaped by the hands of rural cabinetmakers including clock cases, sofas, sideboards, and coffins.

The event goes from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
