NBC's Last Comic Standing Finalist Rocky LaPorte at Mechanics Hall

Laporte was a finalist on Season 8 of NBC's Last Comic Standing! He has been featured on Showtime's The Godfathers of Comedy, a special starring five of America's most hilarious Italian-American comics.

On the big screen, he has been seen in two Tim Allen movies  Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog.

Showtimes are as follows: 

7:00 PM-8:30 PM, 9:00 PM-10:30 PM

Zumba at Worcester Public Library

Zumba is an hour-long, high energy, calorie-burning fitness class that uses pop and Latin music to create a dance-party atmosphere. Low-intensity and high-intensity moves are easy to follow for all level participants who can set their own pace.

It is an effective and fun cardio workout that melts fat, strengthens core, and improves flexibility.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Blue Yonder by Kate Aspengren at Worcester Historical Museum 

In BIue Yonder, the audience meets twelve mesmerizing and eccentric women including a flight instructor, a firefighter, a stuntwoman, a woman who donates body parts, an employment counselor, a professional softball player, a surgical nurse professional baseball player, and a daredevil who plays with dynamite among others. Through the monologues, each woman examines her life's work and explores the career that she has found. Or that has found her.

Showtimes are as follows:

Daughtry at Hanover Theatre 

Rock band Daughtry has released four studio albums, scored four No. 1 hits and garnered four Grammy nominations. Additionally, the band has sold over eight million albums and 16 million singles, as well as selling out concerts around the globe.

At radio, the band has also earned four No. 1 singles, including the multi-format hit No. 1 song "It's Not Over." Daughtry's self-titled album was the fastest-selling rock debut in Soundscan history, and its follow up, "Leave This Town," marked the quintet's second consecutive No. 1 album. The band's third album, "Break The Spell," was certified gold within four weeks of its release, and their last studio effort, "Baptized," produced the certified gold single, "Waiting For Superman."

The Mystery of Worcester's Leonardo at Worcester Art Museum 

This exhibition will bring together two early Italian panel paintings for the first time since they were separated from their original altarpiece: the Annunciation at the Musée du Louvre and WAM's Miracle of San Donato.

Research on the Worcester picture has been conducted by Rita Albertson, Chief Conservator at WAM, with contributions by Laurence Kanter, Chief Curator, and Lionel Goldfrank III Curator of European Art, Yale University Art Gallery.

Rushnyky: Sacred Ukrainian Textiles at Museum of Russian Icons

A rushnyk is a long, rectangular cloth, typically made from linen or hemp, which is woven in one solid piece and sometimes adorned with bright, intricate patterns. They are traditionally made by women, who start learning to spin, weave, and embroider the cloths at a very young age. Today most rushnyky are machine made using modern materials, and can be purchased in retail establishments.
