It is the first weekend in November and there is plenty to do for people of all ages in Worcester. 

This weekend's events include live music from Flogging Molly and Dale LePage, Harvest Festivals, a 5k and more.

Make Your Own Pumpkin Beer Stein at New Street Glass Studio

After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own Pumpkin Beer Stein from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace.

Learn the steps from gathering and adding color, to blowing the pumpkin shaped bubble, and adding a stem-like handle. No experience is necessary and all materials are included.

The event goes from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Worcester Chamber Music Society's On Fire Grafton concert

From the passions of Argentina to New England, to youthful German Romanticism, this program is full of fire. Ginasteras Impresiones de la Puna, paints the high plains of Argentina with an evocative brush of flute both singing and dancing.

Next a piano quartet by New England composer, John Harbison, which twists playfully and then turns in anguish. Finally, Mendelssohns masterpiece, the Octet for strings, the greatest single achievement of a young composer in the history of music

The event goes from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Call to Artists: Fire and Ice

The winter show, "Fire and Ice" is now open for submissions!

Culturally and historically juxtaposition of these diametrically opposing things, the fire element with ice compound, has and can symbolizes many things: the sun and the moon; summer and winter; desire and hatred; the all too familiar scenes of the warmth of heat taking away winter's chill; and appears in songs, literature, and gods and goddesses a numerous pantheons. The exhibit will be presented in conjunction with the City of Worcester's Festival of Lights celebration.

Harvest Home 5K Trail Race at Brigham Hill Community Barn 

This race takes place on the beautiful Grafton Land Trust trails and has a scenic view of Wachusett Mountain.

All proceeds directly support CHP's mission of building healthy and engaged communities through volunteer farming and nutrition education.
