Festival of New England Makers at Old Sturbridge Village

A great mid-September weekend of events in Worcester with things that will keep people of all ages entertained.  

This weekend’s events include the Clustertruck Food Festival, Touch-a-Truck at Auburn Mall, and the Festival of New England Makers at Old Sturbridge Village.

Head to the Worcester Public Library and design your own scarecrow and have it displayed in the library for voting. 

The event goes from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After safety and studio etiquette are discussed, students will watch a brief demonstration and will make their own shot glasses under expert guidance. No experience necessary.

Clustertruck Food Festival at EcoTarium 

The Clustertruck Food Festival offers an evening of food, drinks, music, and more.

The party will be packed with favorites, including craft beer from Wormtown Brewery and live music by Doctor Robert. Attendees will get the chance to purchase food from a large selection of some of New Englands best food trucks, grab a glass of beer or wine, and explore the beautiful outdoor spaces of the EcoTarium in the ultimate after-hours setting.

The festival runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Worcester Art Teacher to Exhibit in Worcester JCC Gallery

Worcester Public School art teacher Francis Warner will have her art exhibit titled "A Visual Narrative," on display. 

The show will feature a compilation of works that span over 40 years, including watercolors, oils, acrylics, pen and ink, egg tempera, and encaustic.

Festival of New England Makers at Old Sturbridge Village 

Old Sturbridge Village will host a “Festival of New England Makers” to celebrate New England trades from the 19th century.

The Village's blacksmith, potter, tinner, cooper, printer, and others will showcase their skills by crafting more complicated items not usually displayed at the Village.

They will be joined by invited artisans of historic crafts from throughout New England who will demonstrate their work. From etching to spinning, to woodworking, experience "handmade" from the past.

The festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
