The 2016 Newport Jazz Festival was a bright moment in the history of the celebrated event. Fans young and old flocked to Fort Adams State Park in Newport for a great weekend of music. With too many highlights to list, rest assured that “America’s original art form” is in good hands. The Festival featured established artists like Norah Jones, Chick Corea and Gregory Porter, as well as rising stars Kamasi Washington, Lizz Wright and 13-year-old Joey Alexander. GoLocal Music Critic Ken Abrams and Mojo Photography’s Rick Farrell were there and bring you the highlights.
