5 Weekend Musts: Blackstone Celebration, Free Museums + More

Make a splash in the Blackstone Valley

Saturday  Rhode Island Water Celebration Day Cruises. Take advantage of this statewide celebration of all things wet and enjoy special early morning and evening crusies on the Blackstone River on the Blackstone Valley Explorer. Only $15 per person. For more information, go here.

Celebrate and get cultured in Providence

Saturday  34th Annual Heritage Day Festival. "Travel around the world in a day" with cultural displays, a mouth-watering array of traditional foods and craft demonstrations and exhibits from more than eleven different countries and food from over eight countries. Make history in Smithfield

Saturday-Sunday  Revolutionary War Encampment Living History Weekend. Colonial Minutemen, militia, and British Red Coats do battle and host games, demonstrations, 1st Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest, and more! Free.
