From Johnny cakes to zombies, it's another fantastic fall weekend in Rhode Island. What 5 events can you not afford to miss?

Harvest/Johnny Cake Festival in West Kingston

Saturday-Sunday  Come to the Harvest Festival and indulge in free samples of local food, sweets, wine, beverages, and eat free Johnny cakes all day. There will be a tour of the oldest mill in Rhode Island, live music, alpacas, sheep, and demonstrations by blacksmiths, broom makers, leather-smiths, basket weavers, and pottery makers with the Queen’s River & waterfall. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. 5th Annual Providence Zombie Pub Crawl

Saturday  Sometimes zombies just need a drink. Get in the mood for Halloween with a zombie pub crawl this weekend. Get decked out in all your zombie finery to hit the bars of Providence. Begin the night at the Providence Social Club pre-party Boolesque Performances, before ravaging the bars. End the night at a RiRa Zombie dance party. Bars Include: Social Club, Tazza, Blake's, Wheels, Muldowney's, Trinity Brew House, Murphy's. For more information go here.

Saturday Spiders, and bats, and wolves, oh my! Ever want to know more about all those scary Halloween animals? Bring the family to spend the night at Roger Williams Park Zoo and learn the truth about these animals and their place in the world from Zoo staff myth-busters. A Day on the Farm in Bristol

Saturday If you’re a breakfast person come down to Coggeshall Farm for Breakfast in the Barnyard. Learn about the farm livestock while joining one of the museum's costumed interpreters in morning chores. Visit with the farm animals before enjoying a sample of 1790s Johnny cakes. 9:00am-10:30am. For the evening food lover, spend the evening experiencing food of Rhode Island in the 1790’s at the Coggeshall Farm Museum, based on the first American cookbook. 2nd Annual RI Amazing Wish Race in Providence

Saturday  It all starts at the Roger Williams Park Carousel. Teams of up to four can be created and compete against other teams in a scavenger hunt around Rhode Island hosted by Louie Stravato and Michael Naylor, TV’s The Amazing Race Season 16 participants. Finish up with an after-party at Sapphire Restaurant & Lounge with live DJ. All proceeds go to the Children’s Wishes charity, working to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
