Liberte, Egalite, Showstopping Tunes: Les Miserables

We might be turning back the clocks this weekend, but we're not dialing down the fun. Here are the five things you can't afford to miss out on.

Les Miserables in Providence

Friday-Sunday  The world’s longest running musical is coming to town! Don’t miss out Cameron Mackintosh’s brand new, much acclaimed 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables, with new imagery and staging based on the paintings (yes, paintings) of Victor Hugo. This is the perfect opportunity to see the musical before the movie version with Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe is released. Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybossett St, Providence Get tickets here.

Murder at the Museum in Newport

Saturday  Not finished with Halloween yet? Extend the spooky a little longer by solving a murder mystery at the historic John N.A. Griswold House. Play a real live family game of Clue with music and masquerade set in 1916. In an interactive performance by the Marley Bridges Theatre Company, you’ll have to search for clues, and interrogate suspects to solve the murder! 76 Bellevue Avenue. 7:00pm–8:30pm. Find out more here.
