MOMIX: Botanica at FirstWorks
Saturday FirstWorks does it again, this time with the Rhode Island premiere of MOMIX Botanica, a magical combination of dance, art, shape shifting, and circus celebrating and interpreting Mother Nature. Let your senses be taken on an adventure through beautiful interpretations of animals, seasons, and imagery using elaborate props, puppets, and costumes. MOMIX, having performed world wide in a range of inventive performances, is being brought to Providence as part of FirstWorks Festival. 8pm. Iron Pour in Providence
Friday Come take part in the 6th Annual Halloween Iron Pour, a yearly event to bring industrial arts to the public. This year’s theme: Molten Masquarade, with flaming masks and luminous goings-on. Music will be from Empty House Cooperative will be haunting the yard, and food vendors will be on site. The Ceramics Cooperative will have ceramics on sale. $10 donation required. Belcourt Castle's Last Halloween Party in Newport
Saturday Come celebrate this weekend in style at the Belcourt Castle’s Halloween party. Get decked out in costume to win prizes. The castle will be fully decorated for Halloween and the event includes a full bar, fall fare, and live music. Hosting the party is Harle Tinney, owner of Belcourt Castle.
