Nutcracker Opens in Newport
Friday-Sunday The holiday classic comes to Newport once again starting this weekend. Enjoy one of Tchaikovsky’s best at one of Newport’s most romantic mansions, Rosecliff. Island Moving Co.'s 10th Annual Newport Nutcracker will be performed one week only, don’t miss this local tradition. Rosecliff Mansion, 670 Bellevue Avenue, Newport. Newport Harbor Boat Parade
Friday The water’s too cold to swim, but certainly not off limits this holiday season. Come down to the Newport waterfront for an annual Holiday Harbor Lights Boat Parade. Prizes will be given out by Newport Harbormaster and community judges the boats with most elaborate and festive light designs. Watch the parade of boats circle the harbor from Newport Yacht Club, open to the public for the event, or from Bowen’s Wharf, Bannister’s Wharf and other Newport waterfront spots. 6:15 p.m. Find out more here: www.gonewport.com.
