slides: 6 Great Upcoming Comedy Events in Central Massachusetts

Friday, February 14, 2014

According to Stanford University School of Medicine psychiatrist William Fry, M.D., a pioneer in laugh research, laughter is truly the best medicine..

Fry has studied the effects of laughter for 43 years. According to Fry, one minute of hearty laughter helps his heart reach the same level achieved by ten minutes on a rowing machine.

His research shows that laughter may help ward off heart attacks by easing tension, stress and anger, prevent the circulatory sluggishness that leads to strokes, and lessen the discomfort of people suffering from cancer. So set aside the pills and take a night off from the health club and head out to experience Comedy Central MA Style!
