It's RI's weekend to howl. From scary to sublime, we've got the best of the best for your Halloween weekend.

FRIDAY

Arts Top Pick
Halloween Iron Pour, The Steel Yard, Providence

Molten Metal Monster Mayhem... who can resist? The Iron Guild hosts this one-of-a-kind event at RI's coolest location for industrial-strength arts and partying. It's a real iron pour, plus music, food, and a ceramic bowl sale. $7 admission benefits the Steel Yard. It's family-friendly and unforgettable. Doors open at 6pm, iron pour begins promptly at 7pm. The Steel Yard, 27 Sims Ave, Providence, 273-7101, or go here for more information.

Comedy Top Pick
Cam-PAIN 2010!,  The New Park Theatre, Cranston

This close to the election, we all need a little Charlie Hall and Ocean State Follies in our lives. This is an all-star event, with comic Frank O'Donnell, TV diva Karen Adams, not to mention other TBA celebs and pols. Laugh it up now, before it's too late. 7:30pm, The New Park Theatre, 848 Park Ave, Cranston. Tickets $20, for more information/tickets call 941-7275, or go to Ocean State Follies Web site, here.

SATURDAY

Food Top Pick
Day of the Dead Party, Perro Salado, Newport

You can keep your Halloween. Lovers of Latin culture really love Dia de los Muertos, the reverent but celebratory day of the dead that commemorates the lives of loved ones who've died. Celebrate in style at the popular Mexican-inspired restaurant with pan de muerto (a sweet bread of the dead, usually left at gravesites as a gift), shrines, costume competitions, and lots of food and drink in the, ahem, spirit of the day. 1-3pm, Perro Salado, 19 Charles St,  619-4777.

Music Top Pick
Cirque de la Symphonie, Providence

What a combination. The Philharmonic Pops join forces with Cirque de la Symphonie's acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strong men, for a magical circus performed to live orchestral music. Thoroughly original, one night only. Kids encouraged to wear costumes to the performance. Providence Performing Arts Center,

220 Weybosset St, Providence, 7pm. Tickets $28-$75, family 4-pack $99. Call 421-2787 or go to ArtTix, right here.

Outdoor Top Pick
Ghost Stories of Parker, Coventry

Isn't everything scarier in the woods? Three words: Blair Witch Project. Join the Audubon Society of Rhode Island for a creepy walk through the woods of George B. Parker Woodland, complete with flashlights and ghost stories. Not for young children. 7-9pm, George B. Parker Woodland, 1670 Maple Valley Rd, Coventry. Society members $8, non-members $12. Pre-registration required; call 949-5454 x3041 or visit the Web site for more information, here.

SUNDAY

Historic Halloween Top Pick
The Original Providence Ghost Walk, Providence

There is no better way to mark the spookiest holiday of the year, than by hearing some genuine ghost stories from one of the country's most historic streets mixed in with tales of local spooks Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft. And RI's wonderful Rory Raven leads this one... another treat. No trick. 3pm, departs from the corner of Benefit and College streets. $7 per person, visit the Rory Raven Web site for more information.
