Assumption Students to Make Walk For Mercy on Sunday
Sunday, February 28, 2016
The walk will start with a prayer service in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at noon. The walk will take the group through Worcester colleges for a prayer service and social gathering around 2 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food to share with the St. Paul's Cathedral Food Pantry.
As declared by Pope Francis, the Year of Mercy is being celebrated from December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016. During this time, Pope Francis calls all Catholics to be profound witnesses to mercy and to "find the joy rediscovering and rendering fruitful God's mercy, with which we are all called to give comfort to every man and every woman of our time."
All members of the Assumption community are welcome to participate in the walk.
