Auburn Violinist to Play at Pakachoag Church After Returning From Memphis

Pakachoag Music School alum Martin Palacios returns from Memphis, Tennessee this week to play Bach and Saint-Saens. Palacios is a member of the Jackson Symphony of Jackson Tennessee. 

The concert will take place on Saturday, October 15 at the Great Hall at Pakachoag Church at 4 p.m. 

Saturday’s concert is the first of four special events scheduled by Pakachoag Music School for the 2016-17 academic year. 

Martin Palacios

Martins graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Music from Pensacola Christian College in 2013. While at the college, he competed and won multiple competitions involving the undergraduate and graduate concerto divisions, solo strings and original music composition. 

In the summer of 2013, Martin accepted a chance to teach at the Curaco Summer Music Camp in the Netherlands Antilles where he played in solos and chamber groups, conducted the advance string orchestra, and taught private lessons. 

Martin is currently completing a second masters at the University of Memphis in Suzuki Pedagogy, and he is a Suzuki violin teacher at the Bellevue Baptist Church School of Performing Arts.
